作者簡介
CHAN SIN-WAI is professor of the Department of Translation at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests are computer translation and bilingual lexicography. He has written numerous books and articles on these topics, which include Longman Dictionary of English Language and Culture (Bilingual Edition) (2003), A Dictionary of Translation Technology (2004), and A Topical Bibliography of Computer(-aided) Translation (2008). 〔記者劉慶侯／台北報導〕42歲男子趙世傳，懷疑自己假釋被撤銷是弟弟檢舉他吸毒，涉嫌持槍前往恐嚇；台北市警萬華分局據報循線追緝，在他家中查獲2把改造手槍和子彈24顆，依槍砲罪嫌移送台北地檢署後，直接送往監獄執行未完刑期。
警方表示，有多項前科的趙嫌，原本因毒品案服刑，但因表現良好而獲假釋，但近期他屢被檢舉仍在持續性施用毒品，以致被他的法定觀護人撤銷假釋，需要入監執行。
趙嫌認為外人應不知他的觀護人是誰，所以認定是自己弟弟檢舉密報，心生不滿，4月19日下午3時許，便到青年路家旁的全家便利商店門口，攔截堵上弟弟，並手持槍枝出言恐嚇，言明要逕行報復。
警方當日晚間據報，立即前往趙嫌住處調查案發經過，趙嫌當下承認持槍恐嚇胞弟，但供說早已將槍枝丟棄在忠孝橋下淡水河中，槍枝下落不明。
警方懷疑趙嫌供詞，經沿線調閱監視器，發現趙嫌案發後是前往新北市三重方向，認定趙嫌說謊，8日晚間前往趙嫌青年路住家搜索，當場在趙嫌腰際搜出仿金牛座改造手槍1把，及用膠帶黏貼於左右小腿的仿科特25改造手槍1把、安非他命殘渣袋及吸食器1組。
警訊後，全案依槍砲、毒品罪嫌移送台北地檢署偵辦，趙嫌更因撤銷假釋直接發監執行。
